I agree with you about Duke especially. Truly, have had no right being ranked a good portion of this year, especially inside the top 10 when they were.
UVA blows it, first time in years they've had a chance to win the league out right and what do they do? Go down to Coral Gables and lose, pathetic. As I posted on here before the season the schedule was easy as pie for them and they still blow it. I hope they get it going for the ACC Tournament.
Now on to what I really posted about, how in Gods name is Duke ranked and Maryland is not? Anybody with a right mind care to explain this one? They have identical ACC records, and Maryland took the little Blue Boys out to the woodshed, on top of that, ESPN is projecting Duke to be safely in the tournament with a high seed while Maryland is a 9 seed? I have never in my life seen a team with an RPI of 18 (probably higher tomorrow due to their win and Georgetown losing) as a 9 seed.
Virginia Tech better enjoy this year, be back to the bottom of the league again next season. Shame they cant keep Dowdell and the crew around for a few more years.
Carolina is talented but are young and they will pose problems in the tournament, I do find it interesting that we could see a Duke/UNC semifinal game in the ACC Tournament.
I just found it amusing listening to these talking heads on ESPN, this bracket Lunardi is putting out looks like a joke to me, I really think ESPN is pumping mid-majors so they can get more power conference schools to come play in the ESPN Televised N.I.T. rather than the CBS televised NCAA.
BTW, Biggin how bought them Tide. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Trying to tell me there going to the Final Four.
